i personally think that the christian God as oppose to other monotheistic faiths (judaism, Islam) is more believable and follows common morals of today's society more effectively.

the quran is much more believable than the bible... it has a single author from a single time, and us Muslims believe that every single word is the perfect unalterable word of God. It's completely consistent.

The big morals (don't kill etc.) are common in a huge proportion of religions. As for the reflection of society, considering Judeo-Christian systems underlies our structural history, this is not surprising in the slightest.
