We were made to have a relationship with him i believe, we were without sin, then we went and screwed up, as a result of that sin entered the world. We were created to have a relatoinship with god closer than a relationship with your brothers or parents or friends.

Who is the father of Joseph?

MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.

Is Jesus equal to or lesser than?

JOH 10:30 I and my Father are one.

JOH 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Is it folly to be wise or not?

PRO 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

ECC 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

1CO 1:19: "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."

The sins of the father

ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

do I need to keep on going?

I actually didn't say i was from another country.
But i didn't say i rarely care about what happens.

Please dont be rude.
The basis of your criticism was that I'm from Australia so I don't experience corrupt government

Implying that you experience corrupt government living in the exact same country

Also I don't care what happens to the middle east except for oil

Now tell me, why are Christian's being murdered by their government if I'm ignorant to their plight

Can I give you an example?
When you fall in love with someone, do you love them because they brainwashed you and bet you up (sounds stupid)
Or do you love them, when you are completely and utterly sane and aware that you love them.
God gave us free will and gave us a brain. If you are telling me that "you" or us as "humans" are incapable of deciding whether or not rape, murder, and slaughter is morally incorrect and unacceptable then it is OUR fault.
I always come across people who argue that its GOD's fault everything bad happens, never do we actually consider it to be our mishap.

but he created us with the urges to rape murder and pillage hard wired into our brains. isn't he a massive sicko for giving us the free will to do those things? i mean if he is so powerful he must have known that the urges he was giving men would result in them raping toddlers and children, that men would exterminate whole civilizations - i mean he is omnipotent and omniscient, aight?

free will is a creation of your so called god, and your gods creation has caused all the evil in the world. its like if i create a robot with free will and program all these different urges into its head, if it kills and maims someone, am i not responsible?

If he's all powerful he could wipe out sin in an instant. Yet...

Again. I don't find how the swearing is necessary.........

Learn to respect.
Mate, you didn't care when I swore about English before, but talking about god you don't find it acceptable. Fuck off.
And don't tell me to learn respect when you're the one saying I struggle with life and shit. And you're the one that fucking posted on my wall.

I'm agnostic. I sound like a pussy to sit on the fence but atheists/religious people can't prove crap.

Poll should've differentiated between belief in a 'religious' god and a general god imo.

m8 that's not how it works.

atheism/theism are beliefs. a theist believes in god, an athiest rejects belief/does not believe in god.
agnosticism/gnosticism are truth claims. agnostics do claim to know whether god exists; they are ambivalent. a gnostic claims to know god exists.

you can be an agnostic theist (you believe in god but don't claim to know he exists) or a gnostic athiest (i know god doesn't/does exist and I believe in him)
you can be a gnostic atheist (i don't believe in god and i claim to know he doesn't exist) or an agnostic athiest (i don't know whether god exists and i don't believe in him)

Lol m8 never knew the definitions were so meticulous. I just think that the truth of wheither god exists or not can't be ascertained (so far). Full stop.

Why should we choose to believe wheither god(s) exist or not if i think that the answer can't (so far) be found?

Did you watch the funeral ?
i'll assume no.
Imagine your friend, son, daughter, mother etc run over by a tank.
Now a normal person, in there sane mind would probably seek revenge of some sort.
having the patience to bear the pain is Help From God.
having respect not the burn the Egyptian flag, is Help from God.

You dont believe in God? Why?
besides the reason that everyone says "he doesnt exist"
umm yeh i watched it on the news and it looked like they were pretty pissed off from all chanting, etc, now i highly doubt that the reason most of them havent seeked revenge is because they believe in god and seeking revenge is against their morals, etc, etc. its more like they know that theyd get stomped if they try.

and the 'having the patience to bear the pain is Help From God. having respect not the burn the Egyptian flag, is Help from God.' is complete bullshit. its like saying
'i brutally raped and tortured, but don't worry cause god is helping endure the pain'. that shit doesnt count as helping

I just think that the truth of wheither god exists or not can't be ascertained (so far). Full stop.
And thus you are agnostic. Whether you are an atheist or not is a different question. You might find it hard to believe, but people disagree with you about truth claims regarding the existence of god/s.

Why should we choose to believe wheither god(s) exist or not if i think that the answer can't (so far) be found?
One might say that it is an infinitely personal matter, and that the human mind is an enigma, with a penchant for all manner of strange truth claims and beliefs. Indeed, with a great capacity to adhere to contradicting beliefs.

LonelyWolf: The proper term is a "Christian Athiest", see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_atheism. But then the question is, is it really the teachings of Christ/the Christian faith that you're following? Because as a Christian Athiest you must necessarily reject much of the bible.
