You don't take a drug though with the assumption that you're gonna die in the next few hours.
You'd assume it would just give you a bit of a high. Instead it resulted in like 90mins of convulsions and then his suicide? Please.
Also, no he did not know what he was getting into.
Something similar happened to me and I ended up in an ambulance for the night, so no, you don't contemplate a life/death situation when you take a drug of some sort.
Plus the kid was only 17 and hadn't even been into this sort of thing before! The fact that you say he needs to live with the consequences is disgusting.
Well, there's my rant for the day.
When you take a drug of any sort, you should be aware that there are dangers involved. Especially so when the drug is illegal and you bought it off the net. Even if it was real LSD, there's a chance it could trigger serious health problems, and he should have been aware of these issues. If you're not at least
considering that an illegal pill you buy from a stranger could have a terrible impact on your life, then you are partly to blame for what happens when you take it.
I don't think he needs to "live with the consequences", but I think it's unreasonable to portray him as a victim of synthetic drug companies. It's not like someone slipped it into his drink. He made a bad decision and it's tragic, and of course society could improve itself in regards to drugs from an educational and criminal point of view. But he made a choice. If he was aware of the risks and did it anyway, then it's partly his fault. If he was not aware of the risks, then it's also partly his fault for taking a drug without knowledge of what could happen.
