Clubbing doesn't appeal to be anymore. I'll take a beer, an irish pub setting and some great friends, over clubbing any day.

Too many dumb fucks on pills nowadays anyway.

Edit: Proofreading would have been a good idea.
After 2am they should keep the doors open, but start putting cyanide in the drinks.

We had a spotting competition on night, and as far as we could tell, there really weren't that many people on drugs in Fanny's.

I've never noticed many people clearly on pills. I'm far more worried about drunks.

Not so much the Irish part of the description but surely any pub would be good with the right friends (and alcohol :p).

Not that fond of clubbing. I'd rather somewhere where I can conduct a successfull conversation without having to yell. Pubs are normally good for this, but that being said it's all about having GOOD company. I've been to some great pubs, but if the company doesen't cut it, basically you're going to have a shit time.

Haha just found out a guy I know from Sydney is coming to Newcastle this weekend solely for Fannys. Sluuut.

It's gotta be sad when you leave Sydney for Newcastle right?

Dude, do you live under a rock?

Plenty of lads do it. They love the Fanny.

Seriously? Gross.
I've been to Fannys once. That is all.

As if Sydney doesn't have it's own disgusting clubs.

Well I personally very much agree :)
But I thought Sydneyites were against anything other than their own.

I went out in Sydney once to this one place. It was awesome, one of the best nights out. So much better than Newcastle.

I don't understand this forums zeitgeist.

You all hate the nightlife in Newcastle.
You really hate the bogans that are most of the population.
You offer fairly scathing criticism of the uni in terms of design.
(I actually like all these things btw)

Yet you all get defensive of the place when I tell people not to come here...
