Could anyone out there with a bit of exam knowledge tell me what 40/100 would scale to? That would be the minimum mark I got but I don't think I got over 50.
40/100 would align to low 70s I'd think?

bloody supervisors... i ask for an extra writing booklet and she gives me a 2u writing booklet
So i say "ummm, i dont think this is the right booklet. Could i get one with a gold bar?"
She says "use this booklet for now, and i'll see what i can do for you."
WTF?!? dint these people get trained on how to hand out booklets.
And my mate got given a writing booklet that already had writing in it :/

I know I've shitposted on here a lot, but that was by far the easiest HSC MX2 exam I've seen. Almost everything in Q1-15 was straightforward (volumes question with e^x? Come on) and a lot of questions looked like they'd been taken straight out of the textbook. The last question wasn't easy but it wasn't anywhere near the difficulty of previous years.

Wat raw mark would correlate to state ranking?
Definitely need 100 for first in the state. I'd be very surprised if 10th got less than 98 to be honest.

wat.

This year had finding the minimum value of a cubic for 2 marks in question 16.
That is only two marks. I could not do the angle properly for the 10 marker and just lost 8 marks on the spot.

Most other 4-unit exams had 3 or 4 free marks in the last question, especially last years.

I actually think the past few years (2010-2013) have increased in difficulty from the 2005-2009 era. in my opinion, the difficulty of the past few years is as follows (from hardest to easiest).
2011
2012
2013
2010

however i am not great at perms and combs which is why i found 2012 hard

See 2012 Q16 a
Besides the Q16 difficulty of 2012 and 2013 are relatively the same, the difference between the papers being is that the middle questions in 2013 were harder than 2012

I actually found 2011 and 2012 easiest of those 4.

The easiest exams were in the 2004-2009 era though.
