We worked at the same place but had never really talked. I was out at a club in canberra with a whole load of other guys from work, I was pretty hammered. She was out with a friend of hers and also pretty drunk. We were sort of introduced by one of my mates from work (memory is hazy here). We danced in a ridiculously drunken fashion pretty much until closing time (~4-5am), then we wandered around the city (such as canberra city is) talking, grabbed a bite to eat, exchanged numbers, etc. Then I drove her home (probably still over the limit but safe) we made out for quite a while then I drove home. I crashed out into bed around 9am and managed two hours of sleep before I had to get up and start getting ready for work.
We went out together again the next night and then exchanged msn details because she was going to new zealand for a month. We stayed in touch while she was in NZ. When she got back I suppose we were in denial....
We weren't 'going out' however talked every night (and into the morning) on msn and whenever either of us went out we would call the other and if we were both out meet up, dance drunkenly and make out, etc. This kindof thing lasted 3/4 months. Neither of our friends ever believed our denials.
Anyway in April we realised how much we liked each other and started going out and things are going great. Infact I think it was good for us to have become best friends before we started going out, and also that we come from different social circles so there's no bad history between either of us and the opposites friends etc.
Previous gfs/'aquantances' have been met: through school, via friends, in clubs, randomly on the street, etc. None nearly as interesting as the above story.
