Sounds like a level 3 DFD. The syllabus requires students to know level 1 DFD. Level 2 and 3 are not necessarily required.
would it be ok to do the level 3 DFD in the exam tomorrow? because i dont think i can get used to this level 1 DFD, because you have to make up the multi-process name.

As long as it's a DFD it's all good. But remember to mark the process number. If you use level 2 your process number must be 1.1 or 1.2 or 1.3. Similarly with level 3 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 or 1.2.1 and so on. I'd prefer using level 1.

eeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhh........................... what?

I have never heard of a process number!!

I just googled them and I sort of get what they are, but in the IPT BOS course specifications there is nothing about them.... also i havent seen any in practise paper answers!

Were these taught to you by your teacher, or were they in a particular text book like Sammy's?

The BOS doesn't use level 2 for their HSC sample answer cause their approach on drawing DFD is level 1. So it's obvious for students to know the number of each process.

I know the process number thing on some websites when I was doing ipt assignment. But then I found Sammy's book also talks about this.

Alright then, i think if they tell me to use 3 process in the question i will, but otherwise i might draw two(?) if i can just to make sure. Ill have a look at the process numbers but if their not in the course specifications then i might not stress too much about it i guess.

Thanks for the help though! good luck tomorrow!

If the question doesn't specify the level of process or you confuse with the question. Then don't put any number in.

Well, taking into consideration that we are going to do the exam in about 12 hours. I think going over notes should be the best advice to give. Don't do past paper questions, you don't want to overload k. Are you doing the IPT exam? It says you're sitting the HSC in 2016?

You can still do 4U maths when you're Yr 12 so dw. If you stuff this one. Other 10 units will save you. (maybe)
