After the HSC results are out in December the papers will print this year's school ranks.

The ranks change every year as they are determined by the results of the students sitting the HSC this year.

Not sure, but I remember reading something about that from newspaper. My guess is about 1992?

I heard that they've been top for about 20 years, can anyone confirm this? Or give a more accurate number?

I did a quick search, and according to this article: http://www.smh.com.au/news/national...st-in-the-state/2007/12/19/1197740380964.html

Alex said he did not feel overly pressured at James Ruse High School, which topped the state in HSC performance for the 12th consecutive year.
That was in 2007, but I'm guessing they have topped the state prior to that-maybe just not consecutively.

What is a good school rank to acheive a good UAI?
I mean, yes, I know it all depends on you as an indiviaual/internal ranks (please don't tell me that, I am aware), but I mean, where is the cutoff area that schools are considered high acheiving?
Is is like, 1-10? 1-50? Or like 1-100's?
My school's in the 30's.

yeahh i guess it kind of depends, because some private schools are ranked in the 20s and 30s, but say maybe at least the top 40 or 50?

EDIT: ok that was just confusing..
