Welcome to Sydney Your Majesty President George Bush:D. I hope you enjoy your stay in the most beautiful city of the world Sydney. On behalf of White Anglo Saxon Protestant Australians , I am proud to let you know that we totally support your foreign policy to make the world a better place free from Islamic Terrorism.
What exactly have they done to stop terrorism?

Did anybody else LOL at those two dykes on Sunrise this morning? I swear Kochie was ready to backhand them.
"Why are you protesting"
"We are protesting against Bush's presence"
And then went on about some shit, it's their civil right to march, etc.

wtf is wrong with a fiscal deficit? 8 trillion if that is correct is beautiful. Means that the USA can increase investment and its infrastucture nation wide. So people think that saying 8 trillion deficit is meant to be a blight on the president that just means he has either cut taxes or increased spending. LOL that is economically the greatest thing he could have done for the american people . The economy grew at 3% last year while also reducing its greenhouse emissions lets get real and learn some facts people before writing some BS stuff haha .More money for people more hospitals and more infrastructure lets get real

Wait, what?

Tax cuts mean that the government gets less money, thus not leaving more money for hospitals or for infrastructure. Also, the US doesn't even have a federal healthcare system. He's increased spending on the military by around 34% since he's been in office. Infrastructure, especially the roads system that is left over from the 60s [that hasn't been properly updated], isn't in great shape when you look at it from a nationwide perspective.

The American people aren't happy with him, why should the world be?

PROTESTERS have been denied permission to march to the edge of police lines during an anti-APEC rally in Sydney on Saturday.

The NSW Supreme Court today granted Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione's application for an order preventing up to 20,000 people marching to the corner of George and King streets.

A deficit budget that big is rather worrying. But too bad it's not a deficit budget and people are using "deficit" in the wrong context. It's debt, not deficit. Maybe YOU should learn some facts and not spout bullshit. The US budget has been running at a small deficit which is fine. Not an 8 trillion dollar deficit. The US budget isn't even half that.

Also, that external debt is 10 trillion. You understand what debt is, right?

Budget deficits doesn't neceassrily mean tax cut, but could mean extra government expenditure. There average incomes are 15k a year higher than in Aus, screw roads if your earnign that much more on average.

If us have 8 trillion dollar debt it means the world put its trust in USA which means US economy is strong enough to handle such tiny debt at ease.

Bush has put in place three of the six major tax cuts since the end of the second world war.

Screw roads? Yeah okay, whatever. He's the second most unpopular president in the history of the USA but he should be worshipped overseas. Putting you on par with the rednecks in the South who still kiss his ass.

Also, the debt is the problem 10 trillion dollar debt isn't good. [Somebody mentioned deficiet and I go the two confused :)]

EDIT: Thirty million Americans don't have any healthcare at all. That's the problem. They'd love to have the Australian health care system.

as you would know to run a deficit can be done through either tax cuts or increased gov expenditure. I was merely stating that quite obvious tool . Increased military by 34% umm i wonder why? maybe the war on terror a very valid way to spend money in most people's opinion who want to live in a free democratic world. If you gotta spend money to ensure that 3000 great american citizens dont die again seems pretty valid to me. Time will tell how the bush legacy will be percieved

Currently the "war on terror" is not a very nice issue in the States. It's turning out to be almost as laughable as the "war on drugs". He doesn't have blanket approval from the American public and a lot of people are sick of it.

The size of a debt an economy has does not automatically mean it can handle it. Why would you think something so silly? I'm not disagreeing with you that the US economy can handle it for now but your reasoning is tripe.

Besides, the debt has not exceeded the size of the GDP so it's not too much of a worry I guess. >_> Although the growth of the debt in only a few years is a worrying trend.
