Woolies simply play the best music! I'd really like to know who chooses it all.
Here are my favorites:

Explosive-Bond
I am, I feel-Alishas Attic
Just be good to me-Karmah
It's Not Over-Boy Meets Girl (even though I cant find it anywhere)
High-Lighthouse Family
Girls and Boys in love-The Rumble Stripes
Always worth it-Sarah Blasko
Toms Diner-Suzanne Vega
I Saw the sign-Ace of the base
Chewing Gum-Annie
Something that my heart does-The McClymonts
Dy-na-mi-tee-Miss Dynamite
Powerless-Nelly Furtado
B Boy Baby-Amy Winehouse
Limbo Rock
I miss you-Blink 182
Naughty Girl-Holly Valance

Thats all I can think of..lol.
High by Lighthouse Family is my favourite song ever in Woolworths. It makes me feel so happy when I hear it. :)

I also like Foundations by Kate Nash when it plays.

It's not that upbeat version of Pachelbel's Canon that I hear all the time?
Aren't you meant to be OS? How was the Mardi Gras?

OK so I'm pretty sure I have heard NONE of these on Woolies radio. Is it broadcast nationally, simultaneously? Or maybe some states have different music? I can't remember much off the top of my head, just that there is a lot of Elton John (like, 5 songs), Shout by Tears for Fears, and Rehab by Amy Winehouse and lots of total shite that plays in the mornings.

I turned the music up when dutying on Saturday, it was so annoyingly quiet.

On the topic of Woolies music, we used to play a song that involved a VERY high pitched voice singing, which I could never understand. I think it was saying something to do with the moon or moonlight though.

When I first started 3.5 years ago it was played all the time, and it slowly got less and less. The last time I heard it was late 2008.

I know it is a long shot, but I really liked the song and was always annoyed I couldn't catch a string of words (our PA is pretty quiet too, especially over the noise of trading), so I was wondering if anyone remembered it any better than I do. Maybe I could track it down.

PS. Heard the Caravan of Love being played by Centre Management a few months ago, hahaha.
Can't Fight the Moonlight by LeAnn Rimes???

Hey i've never seen this before. How do?
click on the amount of replies next to the thread title. accidental discovery. :uhhuh:

and for all the time i spend in store, i honestly could not tell you what songs play, or which ones i like, whatsoever. though one day I was in cash office with my SSM, and he and I both started singing along to whatever song was playing (I can totally count and sing at the same time, I'm pretty pro). Anyway we got to the end of the song and he goes "Aren't you too young to know that song?".
I have NFI what I was singing.

I heard the monster mash yesterday, got weird looks when people noticed, and I noticed, I was absentmindedly dancing to it while filling meat.

While we're on the topic of songs....

If I hear one more Miley bloody Cyrus song I will scream! There's like 3 or 4 of hers that play and it's sooo annoying!

They play bittersweet symphony which i LOVE!

while they definitely overplay candle in the wind and Miley Cyrus if working at woolworths was enough torture hearing them playing 5 miley cyrus songs in 3 hours ><

wait - I remembered one: S Club Party.

But I only remember it because our youngest operator (barely 14) has no idea who S Club 7 is. So I only like it because when it comes on we go and pay her out about it.

Also Harry, I'm trying to send you a fb message but its being ridiculously slow. So anyway, I dreamt last night that you were in my store and we were singing in smokeshop and the other supervisors hated you :O.
