Does standard math get anymore difficult in year 12? Should I be getting tutored or attend a coaching centre for standard math? I honestly don't understand If I should waste my time getting tutored for it since I have more difficult subjects to deal with like chem and bio. But then again I'm not THAT great at math, I absolutely flunked year 10 math (hence I'm doing standard), but those were more of the advanced topics. Anyways, past and present standard 2 students I want to here your opinions, did you guys get tutoring? What was your overall experience on doing Standard 2 maths?

I'd only recommend tutoring if you think you will not be able to achieve you desired mark or want to score as high as possible

I dropped from advanced to Maths S2 in term 1 of yr12, so I skipped out on all of the yr11 topics. Aside from some self-study and quick revision of yr11 content using my own resources, the stuff was bare easy. No tutoring needed. I got like 34/35 for a few tasks, but even those were js silly mistakes. All u need is past papers and textbooks.

*I should prolly mention, I did reasonably well in advanced but dropped to prioritise all my units of english- having prior knowledge of Adv maths was beneficial as it made everything sm easier e.g. trig, equations, algebra. The only 'new' thing was finance maths but even thats easy.

If you are a self-learner from the textbooks and have the discipline to self-study then you may not need a tutor.
These days you can find infinite number of resources on internet. A good tutor can save a lot of time to sort out the good ones.
