Does having an interview with baulko means automatically in?

Yep there is pretty good chance, but they still do ask you interview questions. Generally it is more of a formality to assess if you actually want to join the school.

im not a transfer, but at that late stage, it could be beneficial or bad for you. a few transfers have done well in ruse so in that aspect its wroth it, but there are transfers who have found it difficult to adjust to the competition and therefore it was bad. if you're average in your school, you might have a hard time in ruse, but in saying that, I don't think its too late to keep trying. if your school is really not great or providing great competition for you, then there's no harm in trying out for year 11 entry. you could find it better in your new school you might not be friends with the entire grade but you have other transfer friends to be friends with, so its not bad in that aspect either.

I think this is very true, it really depends on the student. I remember when I transferred into NSB a couple of us did a lot better(got ATAR 99.50+) whilst others didn't do as well. But I think the environment would be better since you can basically learn from the smartest students in the state. At least that's how I found it.

do you know how many seats there are for nsb/sbhs/normo/fortst entry into year 11?

Normanhurst Boys mentions on there website they open a class of 15 students.

Fortstreet from memory also opens a class for Year 11 entry around 15 to 20 students.

Sydney Boys usually has around 6 spots.

Yep I will update the list to include more schools, Fortstreet also mentions on there website I believe that they open a class.

I'm not too aware of number of students in reserve position but maybe around 10 to 15. Generally I also don't think they reveal which position for reserve students are in.

do u know how many for sydney tech/hurlstone/mac fields, i applied to those 3 schools in that order (from 1st to 3rd), and i got an interview from tech, where i got reserved, nothing back from hurlstone yet, and also waitlist for mac fields. my hast bands were top 15% reading, top of middle 50% for maths, top 10% writing, but bottom 15% abstract (this section was highly predictable so super cutthroat), overall total bottom of top 15% ... so do u think i have a chance of getting in if spots open up at tech (i really wanna go there) later next term, im so nervous since they dont give out ur reserve ranks, all they say is youre on the reserve list

I've heard from my students that around 9 or so students who are in year 8 are leaving Sydney Tech for other schools, so those spots should open up. But you have to wait and see, the reserve list is a bit unpredictable.
