Yeah, as in the vocab meaning questions. I didn't know the meaning for many of them so I just had to make an educated guess.About verbal reasoning, I don’t believe it was really hard. My vocabulary isn’t the best, so I kinda struggled with those, but everything else was essentially GA based. It wasn’t extremely hard as somehow some words and questions were the same as my practice tests. Pure coincidence. If you don’t make it in, I recommend using notesedu. I know I didn’t get in YET and I doubt I will get in, but I believe notesedu provided an accurate imitation of what the real test was like.
You did Edutest for entry into year 9 right? If you did, do you by any chance remember the text in reading comp about flowers. I was kinda confused by that one, like the question about what part of the rose are they talking abt. I put hair tho I'm not sure if it's right. Do you remember what you put?I felt pretty similar. I’m confident that I got full marks for reading comprehension and mathematics, I believe I did alright for verbal reasoning as my vocabulary ain’t the best but it was adequate, maybe screwed up writing (really depends if the marker likes my plot) and messed up numerical reasoning. I think the thing about numerical reasoning was that there were too many time-consuming questions. There were also so many people from other selective schools, for instance, NSBHS, NBHS, SBHS, NSGHS, FSHS and etc, which makes me hesitant that I will make it. Based on my personal reflection, I believe I did strong in edutest and it was really hard to believe that some NSG girl sitting next to me (disclaimer: I did not cheat. I have morals, I know the consequences. I am able to utilise my own academic abilities). I don’t want to be rude to her but she struggled to finish like every single test. I was able to finish the majority of the tests in time, but I only struggled with numerical reasoning. There was no need to copy as I finished everything and everything wasn’t that hard. the questions were all pretty straightforward and simple. They weren’t really sophisticated. It was just all time management. However, overall, I don’t believe I will make it into James Ruse AHS as there are probably people who done way better than me. In addition, I don’t think my application was good enough to guarantee an INTERVIEW for the school.
On the website it said 3-8 weeksJust saying does anyone know when the results are being released? Any info?
Same in verbal reasoning there was a question that was in one of my practice tests. The question was: Aircraft is to transport as Newspaper is to ____.About verbal reasoning, I don’t believe it was really hard. That’s good to hear. What’s really annoying is that some words I don’t know at all, so I had to purely guess. On the other hand, there were these questions with 4 answers having the same meaning and the other being different, which was pretty easy.Yeah, as in the vocab meaning questions. Oh ok. It's all good. Our tests were different that explains it, cause tbh I found verbal reasoning quite difficult.sorry, i did for year 8 entry

Hey guys, did anyone do HAST or edutest for year 10 entry?
edutest was so fine except reading which i kinda guessed 10ish qs since i wasnt able to finish on timeI did girra, hurlstone and Baulkham hills. what abt u? How did u find the tests?
parra doesnt do hast or any exam they take ur reports n thats itWait Really?? im pretty sure we can only apply for 3 schools
wait with 2 superiors r u serious i thought 3 was min cuz this forum, people said 3 was min to get u a interview call which automatically gets u a seat in baulkoSame reading, VR, maths, and writing were good for me but i really struggled in NR. its ok tho we jus have to wait for results. My brother went to baulko (year 10 entry also) and he made it in with 2 superiors so if you think you're confident with atleast 2 - 3 superiors u should be good. Idk how i did for HAST though, everything was easy except for maths, only because of time pressure, but i think i should be fine. Good luck to you tho, im pretty sure youll make it in!
for hast i did great for maths cuz i did 9-10 entry maths n 11-12 entry maths paper which is bought fromt heir website n i did awesome in abstract n writing idk cuz i wrote a narrative abt a father telling his exerieince AAFC where he leared leadership n its benefits from this activty n told to his son n his son understood it (he told the son since he saw the son's essay task ). n for eng it was alr tho it was hard like its just so confusingn ty same 2 uSame reading, VR, maths, and writing were good for me but i really struggled in NR. its ok tho we jus have to wait for results.
