Anyone know if it's a good idea to apply for girraween, Penrith or baulkham hills for yr 9 entry or are the chances low?
baulko has high chances bc they also open around 30 spots, not too sure abt the other schools

Has everyone else gotten their girraween results back or has girraween not sent any out yet?

Did you find this info on the school website because I keep searching for the number of spots baulko opens up for year 9 on their website but can't find any...

if you’re in year 7, and you’re in a non selective school with a ranking lower than 60 or so, you have good chances for year 9 entry into girra, Penrith, Baulkho. You do have some chances for Ruse, but it’s higher if you’re in a <60 ranked school. Doing the edutest/hast in year 8 for year 9, is the biggest transfer opportunity amongst all the other years

I don't exactly know the ranking of my school because it isn't publicly available for some reason, but I'll definitely try for one of those schools next year. Would girra have a higher chance or Penrith? (for yr 9 entry)

I’m not sure but I think both schools open up a class of 30. If anything, I think you should apply for Baulkho, girra, and Penrith because I’m pretty sure they all open classes or at least two of them do, and your chances are high there regardless of school ranking especially for the latter two. But that also means you have to take two different tests: the edutest and the hast test. I think taking both tests are worth it but you might not find it convenient
