True, but clockiework said schools like Sydney tech actually care so maybe that’s the case with Penrith and Girraween
I lwk might first preference Penrith over Girraween so Penrith thinks I’d rather be there and accept me

idk but thats what i have experienced, as i told u, even tho i got same hast bands as the other kid in my tuition who got hurlstone, he got in and i didnt, likely cuz he put it 1st choice, but it also couldve been cuz hurlstone is only SLIGHTLY higher than tech in rankings (we'll overtake them dw), and also i got reserved for mac fields cuz i put it 3rd choice, surely theoretically if i got high enough for tech, i wouldve also been mac fields's one of competitive applicants, but who knows maybe i just got unlucky with logistics and other ppl prolly had better experiences

yep i got in for yr 9 entry, and i got barely within the top 15% overall, i wouldve scored higher if competition wasnt so tight in abstract reasoning..

also this is completely unrelated, but today i had to send an email to my school letting them know ill be transferring next yr, and it lowkey feels awkward, especiallly since im tryna keep it sorta low profile that i got in, cuz i dont want like unnecessary attention, but its kinda hard to do so when i told ONE kid the other day and he yelled it out first period to my entire class

I scored middle of top 15 in math and abstract reasoning, in the middle for writing but slightly above and below average in reading in the middle 50

Overall my mark is literally barely in the middle 50, very close to top 25 and I think it was around top 30%

I can’t believe I missed out on Sydney tech by that little of a margin

lol my mark is kind of the opposite but not really at the same time, i got top 10 in writing, top 15 in math (same as u), top 10 in reading, but like on the bottom end of middle 50 in abstract, i dont think ur marks are bad at all, maybe just fierce competition, maybe just try to imporve in writing, since i dont think many kids manage to get high in that, and also practice comprehension also what school did u apply for 1st choice??

Well the way I did my forms was pretty dumb cause I put ruse first, Girraween second and tech third. When my parents called to school to ask when I’d receive my outcome, the school mentioned the fact I 3rd preferenced them as if it was a bad thing. Now that I know they actually care imma think of a strategic approach next year.

My comprehension is HORRIBLE because I’ve never read a book in my life but my essay writing is so peak (I’m ranked like top 5 in my class for English).. I genuinely don’t know what went wrong but I guess I don’t know much vocabulary sooooooo

for my current school, earlier this yr i picked iSTEM, visual design (its different from art), and computing tech (even tho i hate coding), as for tech, it hasnt come out yet, the enrolment package is still being posted via auspost, but i imagine subject selection stuff will be in there, but ive already looked at subjects tech has, and im gonna choose design and tech, engineering, and graphics, also maths accelerated since im exceptional at maths, but u need a straight As in yr 7/8 maths at tech AND teacher recommendation to do that so..
