Ohhhh i see, in that case you should have a good chance, esp with penrith and girraI mean I heard the first hast school is 130 then the other 2 are 50 and it’s the same with edutest schools I believe.. so I’d only pay like $450![]()
Yh preference doesn't matter too muchlmao but I don’t think preference heavily matters though people got into top schools with preference selection
True, but clockiework said schools like Sydney tech actually care so maybe that’s the case with Penrith and Girraweenlmao but I don’t think preference heavily matters though people got into top schools with preference selection
I think mid ladder schools care but top schools just want good kidsYh preference doesn't matter too much
For top schools no but for other schools to an extent it doeshey everyone i had a question what if you did like tech first and some other schools 2cnd and third would your preference for the 2cnd and 3rd make a difference?
Open day is for everyone right like even primary schools kids lmaoanyone going baulko oday tmr?
idk but thats what i have experienced, as i told u, even tho i got same hast bands as the other kid in my tuition who got hurlstone, he got in and i didnt, likely cuz he put it 1st choice, but it also couldve been cuz hurlstone is only SLIGHTLY higher than tech in rankings (we'll overtake them dw), and also i got reserved for mac fields cuz i put it 3rd choice, surely theoretically if i got high enough for tech, i wouldve also been mac fields's one of competitive applicants, but who knows maybe i just got unlucky with logistics and other ppl prolly had better experiencesTrue, but clockiework said schools like Sydney tech actually care so maybe that’s the case with Penrith and Girraween
I lwk might first preference Penrith over Girraween so Penrith thinks I’d rather be there and accept me![]()
Wait u got in for year 9 entry right? I lowkey might retry again next year cause of accelerated math (im starting to get addicted to math)idk but thats what i have experienced, as i told u, even tho i got same hast bands as the other kid in my tuition who got hurlstone, he got in and i didnt, likely cuz he put it 1st choice, but it also couldve been cuz hurlstone is only SLIGHTLY higher than tech in rankings (we'll overtake them dw), and also i got reserved for mac fields cuz i put it 3rd choice, surely theoretically if i got high enough for tech, i wouldve also been mac fields's one of competitive applicants, but who knows maybe i just got unlucky with logistics and other ppl prolly had better experiences![]()
yep i got in for yr 9 entry, and i got barely within the top 15% overall, i wouldve scored higher if competition wasnt so tight in abstract reasoning..Wait u got in for year 9 entry right? I lowkey might retry again next year cause of accelerated math (im starting to get addicted to math)
And in the hast you got like top 20% right
Congrats tho(hopefully I’ll get to get in for 2027
)
You got like discord or something by any chance, I can send a picture of my hast score cause I BARELY and I mean BARELY didn’t get inyep i got in for yr 9 entry, and i got barely within the top 15% overall, i wouldve scored higher if competition wasnt so tight in abstract reasoning..
nah man sadly im not allowed, but bro i do feel u, same thing with me back in yr 6 selective, frickin thinking skillsYou got like discord or something by any chance, I can send a picture of my hast score cause I BARELY and I mean BARELY didn’t get in![]()

LOL the kids at my school were flexing they made normo, they’re just a bunch of ragebaitersalso this is completely unrelated, but today i had to send an email to my school letting them know ill be transferring next yr, and it lowkey feels awkward, especiallly since im tryna keep it sorta low profile that i got in, cuz i dont want like unnecessary attention, but its kinda hard to do so when i told ONE kid the other day and he yelled it out first period to my entire class![]()
lol my mark is kind of the opposite but not really at the same time, i got top 10 in writing, top 15 in math (same as u), top 10 in reading, but like on the bottom end of middle 50 in abstract, i dont think ur marks are bad at all, maybe just fierce competition, maybe just try to imporve in writing, since i dont think many kids manage to get high in that, and also practice comprehension also what school did u apply for 1st choice??Lol that’s alr but like tell me if my marks are cooked
I scored middle of top 15 in math and abstract reasoning, in the middle for writing but slightly above and below average in reading in the middle 50
Overall my mark is literally barely in the middle 50, very close to top 25 and I think it was around top 30%
I can’t believe I missed out on Sydney tech by that little of a margin![]()
i didnt know he would yell it outLOL the kids at my school were flexing they made normo, they’re just a bunch of ragebaiters
Lwk it’s pretty cool ur humble about it but why would you tell a kid who’d yell it out (unless that was your goal)![]()

Real, more people in my school know about me transferring than i thought. There's a few others from my school transferring with me thoalso this is completely unrelated, but today i had to send an email to my school letting them know ill be transferring next yr, and it lowkey feels awkward, especiallly since im tryna keep it sorta low profile that i got in, cuz i dont want like unnecessary attention, but its kinda hard to do so when i told ONE kid the other day and he yelled it out first period to my entire class![]()
