2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/08/21/2010509.htm Yep. Sporting facilities in marginal seats? That's a national priority, people.

What music do you listen to whilst studying?

Rihanna isn't a hip hop artist. She's a glorified pop singer. It's also unfair to tar all of hip hop with the sexually obsessed brush of gangsta, crunk and R&B.

    Uni Open Days

Basically any bus going along Broadway from UTS (you'll have to cross the road, though). Look for ones for Parramatta Road or RPA, and get off at Victoria Park or University Avenue. Or look for ones for Newtown and get off at Wentworth building. But it's just as easy to walk, really.

... It's exactly the same degree. It's just being administered by a different faculty.

2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

I sort of find it hard to imagine Kevin Rudd drunk at a strip club. But awesome. Line of the day goes to Warren Snowdon, who pointed out that Glenn Milne (who broke the story) is hardly in a position to tut-tut about embarassing drunken behaviour.

That's not new. You've always been able to cross-list international-type arts units (assorted JCTC, ARIS, ASNS, and probably from next year AMST) towards the GOVT major. Does IntSt and EcSocSci moving to Arts then confirm that GOVT and ECOP will be moving too? It doesn't make much sense for...

    art history/theory

I don't know anything specifically about Sydney ARHT, and afaik we don't have anyone on BoS who does it. However, it's certainly offered - next year the junior units will be (Semester 1) ARHT1002 Modern Times: Art and Film and (Semester 2) ARHT1001 Art and Experience. Information on the ARHT...

Learning stuff off by heart via repetition. Not very popular any more. You might have used it for learning times tables.

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! That's more or less Labor's policy, though, when you take away the 'fresh and new' talk. I know, I'm just being pedantic. As always.

    Preferences?

Re: First Preferences? For science or science adv at Usyd you have to do two semesters' worth of maths in first year. It's offered at various levels of difficulty. (Bear in mind that Sydney med sci has the same requirement, and in fact has basically the same first year as the standard science...

UTS is hardly 'in the middle of the city'. It's right at the end of the city. The dodgy southern end, too.

Bleh. I need to start my ANHS essay first, it's due in a few weeks. All my other essays are due after the break, which is a relief. What did you think of the guest lecture about religion?

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! 'Forward with fairness', I think. What about it does SA find so objectionable? Do they want a return to centralised industry-wide wage-fixing or something? Actually what I found amusing about SA last week was their poster about 'Making a killing from global...

2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

Now Howard wants to take over control of ports from the states as well. Does he even realise how pathetic and desperate he looks? Joe Tripodi (who's now the state minister for ports, who knew?) is quite accurate:
