I don't understand. Can't you just do the usual? i.e. Find the primitive of the integrand and then apply the fundamental thereom of calculus.

Oxidation is the loss of electrons; reduction is the gain of electrons. In your half equations you have clearly expressed iron losing electrons and oxygen gaining the electrons. Thus it follows that iron is oxidised and oxygen is reduced.
