okok public and private buildings?
tbf dont know lots, i know public buildings but not private ones really. private religion, etc. home varied in size and razzle dazzle depending on the economic status of the owner. some buildings were 2 stories, however only the 2 storied homes in herc have been perserved due to the more consistent and larger preservation of the city in the volcanic rock. most homes did not have running water, or private latrines. many used public facilities/water fountains. higher class homes would have gardens (which fun fact caused higher rates of tuberculosis and malaria due to the mosquitos these gardens attracted) as well as latrines, baths, frescos, running water (which caused led poisoning)

Guys any estimates for how harsh they’re gonna mark math adv? I caved and looked at the answers lol and idk whether to trust my more lenient estimate or my super harsh one
i feel like they’re usually more lenient when marking the harder questions, especially the ones near the end of the paper that most people in the state r really strugging with.apparently for the last question in 4u last year they gave you a mark for drawing the diagram. idek if this is true or not but yea

Just pointing out, it's also not like that there, let's not diminish other countries please
sweet of you to defend them but it is quite bad in those countries, yes there are a lot of misconceptions but at least in China, factory schools are a real issue (academics have been a part of the culture for a while tbh, since even before the revolution) and the suicide rates are ridiculously high
a simple example would be the prevalence of high schools that completely structure their students’ days down to the minute, forcing them to have 5 hours of sleep a night and the rest of their days all spent studying
SK I agree might not be as bad but I'm 75% sure there's a decently cruel tutoring culture over there

what quokka said was not too far off the truth, just wanted to put that out there

this is very true, and it's not just the school culture, it's also that your gaokao scores really DO matter for your future (unlike here, where there are so many alternate pathways, support and equity schemes), so it's a massive burden
