I was trying to do that for hours but it kept not showing for some reasonI feel like the progression plan barely covers any of the engineering degree; the handbook showed a lot more specific courses for the renewable eng. degree (e.g. according to the handbook I should also be doing electrical circuit fundamentals but this doesn’t show up in the plan). Do you think since it’s a double they’ll only cover the degree more broadly to fit it all?
In myplan did you try going to explore -> pathways -> selecting T1? It basically shows the same as the progression plan though
oh wthh I thought u do pick majors for adv sci?! yes I understand wym like mechanical engineering, chemical etc right?I haven’t applied to classes yet - I started to but am a little confused.
I found out we don’t choose adv sci majors yet cuz they make us cover basics for everything first and we choose a major later in the year (near then end). For eng we actually chose our degree not out major (if that makes sense) since they offer the various engineering degrees as individual degrees. Kind of like choosing our pattern of study.
I’m probably going to use myplan to figure out what I need for term 1. Checking the handbook for renewable eng. I only need 3 courses in term 1 for it, not 4 - but this may be different if you’re doing mech. Probably best to check the handbook. However, I was talking to someone who went to UNSW and they said it’s not required to follow the subjects given in the handbook specifically in that order as long as we cover them at some point as they may be prerequisites for higher courses required later - so I guess it gives us some flexibility in that sense.
I don't know if you HAVE TO follow it exactly cos I've put a 2nd yr core course instead of an elective in T3 (as it has no prerequisites), but I think you should especially with ur core courses (the ones written, not where it says free elective) cos it gives u entry into the next yr courses since they've got prerequisitesOMG thank you so much. Would you know if these are what we’re required to complete or just an example?
yes my plan isnt supposed to work for usPre sure this is just recommended but from looking at the handbooks it’s basically all the required courses which are available in first term.
No clue what else I would put though it’s already pretty jam packed and there’s so many other courses idk where to get started. Myplan is not helpful either it doesn’t load the planned pathways for me for some reason
I think you can as it usually says 'minimum UoC', just email unsw future students or wherever and ask to be 100% sure, but I think you canIdk if this has already been asked but can I do 3 courses in my last term instead of 2? It means I’ll have 54 UOC instead of 48 (which is what they recommend) but I’d rather do the same amount of courses per term
TyyyI think you can as it usually says 'minimum UoC', just email unsw future students or wherever and ask to be 100% sure, but I think you can
oh wthh I thought u do pick majors for adv sci?! yes I understand wym like mechanical engineering, chemical etc right?
Yes I'm sure it isn't a MUST but I think it's quite helpful to make sure u finish ur cores on time to be accepted into the next level as u said there are prerequisites. However idk what ur degree looks like but im assuming its very packed
yeah idk im so confused?! try emailing them and also if u have any friends or know any unsw eng students ask. also ask on reddit lol.I’m just a little lost cuz the handbook says I need to do more in the first year than showed in the progression plan... It says I need to do elec. fundamentals and sustainable energy as well but they’re not shown in the progression plan. Unless I’m reading it wrong. Level 1 means first year right???? (Also there’s no electives for me first year so I can’t even choose to do them then)
btw myplan stopped working for me sigh
Bro’s so desperateAny girls?
Yea u deserved itwhy is unsw engineering 95 lsr this year. i thought it was gonna be 93 point something lol
anyway I got in with EAS dei points lol
ofc its okay dont apologise! I didnt use auto timetable I manually did it. hold on, could u just tell me ur degree again pls and I'll have a look on the unsw progression plan and help u betterThank you @hellokitty48920 for sharing this very useful information. One question: How do I know which classes to select in my timetable. I apologise if this information is already in the handbooks or UNSW pages, but I am generally confused here. I did use Auto Timetable, but other than, how do I know how to timetable the classes? Also for some reason Physics won't get auto-timetabled.

Following me is not gonna get u a girl. Like oh what I great love story, imagine meeting ur soulmate on bos lmaoUr so right
