oh man i really want to read The Odyssey but i want to a) own it and b)buy it second hand but I've had no luck in 2nd hand bookshops

I picked up a copy from my unistore bookshop for $12. Penguin classics.

idgaf about price i just like owning 2nd hand books

especially when there is a name/message in the front. It's like this story has a story and I like the idea of that.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :)
I'm taking it you mean 1984, but anyway any of George Orwell's writing is good imo, even Animal Farm something so basic holds a very interesting message. Would recommend as well.
