Living near the school is what they don’t care about so much because someone who lives an hour away transferredand living near the school / having siblings is definitely a huge plus asw
Yeah they do I thinkThis year I did choir, debating, zonta club, amc, bharatnatyam, art club, swimming, gardening club. So next year I think I'll do more of the same extrac curriculars and I'll add maybe around 5 to 6 more comps to my portfolio. Also do capa comps count or do they like make a difference?
I think some year 8’s in girra are for applications too lol from a thread I saw some time agoIs anyone thinking of doing the hcgcc?
I might actually but idk yet hahaI think some year 8’s in girra are for applications too lol from a thread I saw some time ago
lol yeah I mean I think it’s pretty fun, it’s cheaper with the promo code, cause that’s what I did a few years ago so I think it’s worth it, but yeah, if anything, you should also sign up to free competitions next year like writing competitions; and like random science competitions. Have you heard of icq? Lol it needs some preparation but its worth a lotI might actually but idk yet haha
I think I'm gonna try and sign up for at least 5 comps until the submission datelol yeah I mean I think it’s pretty fun, it’s cheaper with the promo code, cause that’s what I did a few years ago so I think it’s worth it, but yeah, if anything, you should also sign up to free competitions next year like writing competitions; and like random science competitions. fr it is so much harder than a perfectly normal and no brainer (kinda) year 6 selective examgenuinely why is getting into selectives so different and so much more difficult compared to year 6 entry...like you just do a test then? and now they're expecting you guys to perform so academically well and pull a bunch of co-curriculars out of your butt...when I was in years 7-9 I literally did jack...do kids actually in selective schools do as much as you do now? no judgement, more awe and genuine confusion
the dedication is impressive - this really does read like American college application, haha! it'll all be worth for the dream school I'm sure
Geniunely I wish I got into a top school in year 6 so I didn't have to face this trouble now haha. I guess it does prepare us for college applicationsfr it is so much harder than a perfectly normal and no brainer (kinda) year 6 selective exam
but like only college application in america (if that's your aim) 'cause in australia they just centralise it all pretty much, most you got is an interview and short application form for medGeniunely I wish I got into a top school in year 6 so I didn't have to face this trouble now haha.
