does that mean there would be higher chances for yr 9 entry than yr 8 entry? cause i feel like some ppl from girra and penrith will leave to go to ruse or baulko yr 9 entry.no year 9 is similarly competitive year 10 is more lenient on tje quality of their entrants
just apply for the evermore prestigious selective sydney tech, as many legends in this thread in the past have pointed out, it offers WHOLE COHORT ACCELERATION in y10 so u do hsc course in y10 and 11 for that subject and so u get to sit ONE real hsc exam early in y11 to get a taste of the hsc, and also that means less workload in y12, also the brotherhood here is good but its mostly the acceleration, idk if other schools that have the AUDACITY to call themselves "selectives" offer thatThing is tho i heard some really mixed reviews on both Penrith and Girraween. Cause in year 11 im tryna pick physics, chem, bio, math extension 1, English advanced, and maybe an extra random subject but i heard they have a selection process for those classes and don’t automatically let u in. I don’t know if it’s true but some people say they love those schools and others hate it
Other than that im alright with the edutest (not good not bad) and mediocre with the hast. I’ve been thinking about normanhurst for a while but they don’t open a new class until year 11 so if i were to get into a mid tier school like Penrith or girra id most likely stay there for the remainder of my schooling life rather than move to normo in year 11. That’s why im sorta thinking if I should just only apply for top tier schools and if I don’t make it just stay in my school for one more year and then finally apply for a high tier school
bro my tutor constantly brings up his legend students who went to mac fields and achieved atars of 99.60, 98.65, 99.15, etc. i think if they can achieve THAT at MAC FIELDS i can surely achieve 98+ or maybe 99+ at techyeah adapting to the different social environments is hard but you know anything for ATAR![]()
hehe what if i did 1) normanhurst 2) Baulkum hills and 3) Girraweenactually unbiasedly i recommend @Smartboiiii to apply 1. normanhurst 2. sydney tech 3. girraween (if u care abt subjects) OR penrith (if u dont care abt subjects but only ranks)

yea cuz like its good so far (wbu @shaunakkk)Oh ye I’m just wondering is girra that good? Like is it better to apply for normo and baulko this year and if I fail go for normo and nsb cause of new classes or just get into girra this year and stick with it?
