By science being in the math section do you mean that there's science topics within the math questions, or do the science questions rely on you having prior science knowledge to answer it (like having to remember the topics learnt at school)? I'm taking the test for the first time this year so I have no idea what to expect..
Wait nvm I read about the section on the website. I'm assuming they expect you to remember stuff from years 7-10 science 😭

No, they don't. You don't need to study any syllabus topics for selective. Any information you need during the tests, they'll give it to you. Just in an incredibly complicated way.

AWH I WAS LIKE U LAST YR :(
i went to the 3 lowest skl jn the state (u can check that skl) cus it was my local n i had reports ALL STRAIGHT A’S (yr 8 sem 2 n yr 9 sem 1) w a fair amount of extra cocurriculars (im new to Australia so literally had no idea what that was so i was slowly participating in some) n until now i still think that my skl was the reason for not accepting me :(
(i moved to selective for a partially selective skl)
i dont mean to be rude or anything but FOR ME even though i did much better than my sister in the HAST last yr i feel like they only considered her cus she was selective? Ik another girl who also got in n she also was selective
ANYWAYS I RLLY RLLY RLLY HOPE THERE ISNT A ‘TREND’ WHERE THEY ONLY CHOOSE SELECTIVE STUDENTS CUS I FEEL U (i went to lowest 3) N I THINK U DESERVE IT (WE ALL DO)
*fingers crossed*
what schools ru applying for

Hey I know you probably don't remember what you got on your HAST test, but I was just curious (because I'm also applying for st george) if you have a rough idea of how high did you score to get an interview for the school? (around what percentile)
trust me, sgg basically accepts everyone LOL try aim for at least top 30 percentiles and you'll probably be considered. do u do sport, cuz if u have sport achievments they'll look at it and be like 🤩 also how are ur grades and ur report? and ur extra curiculars?

Better than penrith
girraween barely accepts penrith kids, its like a rumour or smthn but ive tried since yr 7 and never made it and seniors have said that to be accept to girra as a penriht student you have to ace hast and be top 10 in most subjects in reports.
