    UAI - Is it possible?

Re: Is it possible? It really depends on your subject combination. If you do all high-scaling subjects and English is your only weakness then your probably can, however if all your subjects are low scaling (e.g. General Maths, etc) then it will be hard. Also - you should be aiming to achieve...

    Special Consideration

Re: Elite school students get more special help in HSC Haha yeah most private schools have the Reader/Writer program - I remember writing for other students in Years 9-11. I personally think it would be uncomfortable though - like not being able to write. However if it hurts when you write...

    11 or 13 units?

Haha yeah thanks for that =) Although i didn't get a Band 6 in 3U though - but there's always second time round =) Also thanks for the advice to everyone else. I've decided to drop SDD - because I don't think it's worth it sacrificing time away from 4U.

    11 or 13 units?

HAHA - at my school we have a teacher supervising us most of the time - so I should be able to get some work done. Ever since I picked up 4U Maths - I've missed study periods. But yeah - my friend goes to CVH. From her description - Study periods seem really cool at your school. Heard that if...

    11 or 13 units?

Hey guys! After all the threads about units and subject selections - it got me thinking about my subject selections. I was wondering - should I do 11 units or should I do 13? I currently have 13 units (in my signature) and I was thinking of dropping Software Design & Development - mainly...

How much study has everyone done so far?

That's plenty of work done. As Namu said - you're on the right direction to getting your aim - but you gotta be consistent throughout the year. No point cramming now and bludging when you get back - because you're only 25% past your HSC.

    procrastination... the solution

Get some drugs. Either that or set goals which you MUST attain for each day. For example your goal for the day might be tro summarise 'Special Relativity' in Jacaranda. If you do not complete that goal - punish yourself by not letting yourself do other things (e.g. watching TV, MSN etc) and do...

How much study do u do in Holidays?

I agree with the above post. You've got 6 weeks - why not use them? I'm using them to prepare for the Half-yearlies, get all my notes done so all I have to do next term is focus on the next topics and I should have plenty of time to quickly go over the first topics covered in Term 4 08.

LOL I have a feeling all your posts will be marked as spam. Thought I'd make a serious post and say that I'm sorry but I have to decline any new people to the study group - cause I think we're more than full. A few people have asked me and I've had to decline. Also thank you Namu for the sheet.

How does your rank in the assessments affect your overall marks?

Yeah - he could've meant that was the weighting of a particular assessment or your trials.

How does your rank in the assessments affect your overall marks?

Having a high rank is good - however it is not the end of the world if you have apoor internal rank in your assessments - just means you have to work hard and do well in the Externals. For example in my HSC this year - I was ranked 22nd internally and I ended up doing better than some people...

Yes Nathan can confirm for you people :) ^^ I feel like Elmo saying that. I didn't email your sister and one of Jeffery's friends, and of course I'm not emailing myself. Therefore altogether there's only 11 people (originally I anticipated 13 but a few people declined). Basically. :p
