We've finished the whole of the 2u Maths course in less than 7 months and we've got inverse trig to go for 3u mathematics. Now I have to go back and re-study the whole course to prepare for my trials.

The way I study for English is through trying to thoroughly understand my text (values, themes) as well as remembering quotes. I just try and cram quotes into my head if I know I need them for an extended response.

Well my optometrist said it was ok if I wore them all the time... and I'm not wearing them just for fun... they also help me see things which are of far distance.

I'm the opposite... glasses actually suit me... probably because I have a lazy eye and one is bigger than the other, and the glasses hide that.

LOL I would too if I had to do that. Stupid poetry.

I've had glasses since Year 8... but ever since the beginning of this year... i started wearing them all the time... I don't need them - I just think it's easier and as some people have said - I'm pretty sure i didn't get them from studying!

Don't listen to music when trying to input theory... but when I'm doing practice like doing maths qs I listen either to trance music or rock music (LP, Evanescence, Paramore etc).

I'm pretty sure the aligned mark is what the Board of Studies does to your mark, like adjusts it according to your ranking or your internal performance. Basically it is what you get on your record of achievement. Scaled mark is what UAC does to your mark to calculate your UAI - like they scale...

I know some school's have timetabling problems and can only allow you to do 12 units. Like if you do extension maths, they'll force you to do either Ext english or Religion or something. At my school, our timetable allows us to do 14 units - so it really depends on the school. I'd reccommend...

Usually you should have a good understanding of the Year 11 Content to be able to to understand Year 12. For example in maths, how can you understand Applications of Calculus to the Physical World if you don't know how to differentiate. But no, it doesnt get officially tested.

Re: Holidays! Yeah, our school's a bit different, we finish Term 2 next week but we get an extra 4 days off, so the school can fix itself up - because we're hosting 700 pilgrims from overseas (and we have our athletics carnival the next day - so that counts as a holiday). Good luck to your...

Thought I'd make a thread of my own. Holidays coming up! What are you guys planning to do? Study, bludge? We get a 3 week holiday (thatnks to WYD!) and I'm planning to go out on the first week and start studying for my HSC Maths Trials in the other 2 weeks.
