im also a commerce/engineering student but i will not be attending the asb orienatation because i am only enrolled in engineering courses for the first year.. i'll probably attend next year's orientation for asb.. but.. i guess u can always attend both orientations as i heard there are alot of...

hmm.. would u say a high e3 is an OK mark? and if im aiming for at least a credit average. would u recommend i take the phys1111 or take the phys1121 and try harder in the other courses to put up my WAM??

I have no knowledge in physics as i have not taken physics in my hsc.. the only glimpse of something similar to physics was in my mathematics ext 1 and 2, in the topics of motions and mechanics... Do you think it is possible for me to just go through with the PHYS1121 course or should i...

im kinda hoping there will possibly be places freed up by students who may defer.. otherwise im a no-hoper.. :evilfire: yes.. im eligible for maximum bonus points.. however if there is a no place i get no offers.. so im hoping many ppl defer this year~~!! XD But do unis try to fill up all...

ah.. lol i think i wud hab.. if i had my preference order sorted out.. i mistakenly read the wrong deadline date for the main round preference change.. Hence, i was unable to put engineering higher up my preference and ended up with b business b engineering at uts.. and after seeing the courses...

oh icic.. well.. im tryin to get into mining engineering at unsw.. and after the main round offers were offered... it has been published that it has vacancies.. so wud i stand a good chance in the early feb round with 89.8?? many thanx

would u guys think that cut off business at the city campus rise in the early feb and final round compared to the main round? or prob stay similar??

Just out of curiosity,, Does the required ATAR or cut off asked, rise or fall in the later rounds if the institution indicates it has vacancies in the main round?? Thanks :)

WOW thanks~! I always thought our transfers were determined by a combination of atar and wam.. But its good to know i was wrong.. otherwise my atar wud hab haunted me the rest of my life~!!! well.. thanks for ur input~~!!

must agree with shinn~~ plus a good chance to do an additional language which wud enhance ur chances of employment in the competitive finance sector..

ah icic~~ but.. regarding the economics degree at unsw... I heard the first year subjects are very similar to those of the commerce degree.. would i be able to move straight into the 2nd year of commerce after the first year in economics?? and would it be possible to start majoring in finance...

So with an ATAR/UAI of around 90 with a WAM of 65 wud guarantee a place in commerce in year 2??
