There is a survey on the library page..well there was a couple of weeks ago..

oh I see what the uni has done. So, no scaling compared to normative data or other students.However, your SNG must meet the criteria of a pass or credit grade etc...So they still get to pick your grade for you based upon how well they think you have met those criteria ...tough

There is an audiology clinic on campus. You can ask to obeserve appointments for a morning and talk to the audiologist (or your local audiologist might let you sit in).There are info nights that have been recorded somewhere on the mac uni site..I forgot to mention that we have to be interns...

I have 6 weeks to go in Audiology Masters at Mac. Australian audiologists are some of the best in the world. They are really well known so any audiology course is very respected everywhere but the US (where you need a doctorate). Melb has a slightly better reputation than NSW because of the dept...

I think students really need to give feedback that the library needs quiet areas or quiet floors. If there were quiet areas or floors then I think the new library would be really great. It would be even better if they opened up the old library for study space.

There are microwaves and there are cold water taps around to refill water bottles.

oh & I have been at mac for 5 years and I looked like a total noob trying to figure out where my book was when I requested it. I stupidly requested a reference book to take home ...even more noob !!

I dont love the new library. I miss the old one ..Open plan offices tend to suck and I dont think open plan libraries are any better. There are no quiet places . I would recommend going too. I went to academic orientation & made some friends. We stayed friends for our whole degree. I found Mac uni can be a little hard to make friends because people come in a group from high school together. Good luck :)

Usually they will tell you in the first lecture if you really need the textbooks. I wait till first lecture before I buy anything.

One of my friends was 1 unit short of finishing 2009 & she is doing a unit at summer school at the moment to make it up.She will still get to do honours this year but her graduation ceremony may not be till September ( I think)
