If you do extremely well because you're INTERESTED in it, any subject will help your UAI. Just do it! Fuck all this scaling shit. Pick subjects you like, do well in them and when the results come out, you'll be cheering.

Don't defer just cause you can't start drinking at the bar straight away. However, the financial benefits of deferring could be the deciding factor - but ultimately you know what's best in your situation. I deferred from Sydney Uni for a year and as far as I know, I haven't had to pay anything...
