    Anybody keen to move out?

Gang, I want to move out to be closer to work and I'm trying to find someone else who is keen also. I've found a cheap place at Concord West (Sydney) for about $125/week (plus the initial bond and bills) and I want to move in. It's about 20-25 mins from the city by train. It's also not too...

Welcome to the C+A Room! Enthusiast Register here!

Hello fellow car enthusiasts! :) You've found the diminutive and well hidden Cars and Automobiles Room of BoS - one could call this room yet another room where you can come and have a chat in between writing your King Lear essay or whatever. I believe the appropriate word is "procrastination"...

How often do you change your oil?

Simple survey I'm undertaking as part of research for my magazine. It would be most appreciated if you would vote. :) DIY denotes "do it yourself", as in you change the oil on your own. Pro denotes paying someone else to do it for you.

    Car Detailing

Anybody else into this expensive, somewhat sad yet rewarding hobby? :D I've spent hundreds on it now - just today bought a clay bar and lambswool wash mitt. I've got dozens of products in my stash - microfibre chamois, waxes, polishes, an electric buffer, quick detailer, exterior products...

    Thieves!

I put my car on the side of the road last yesterday and made the mistake of leaving it there overnight. Some poor-arse fuckers stole my white hubcaps!! They're only worth about $20 but that's not the point!! They're going to have to never use them, because as far as I'm concerned there's only...

ABC: Young Singers Spread Racist Hate

NB: Not sure if this has already been posted, but if it has just delete it. A friend sent it to me, kinda funny actually. I thought all you politics buffs might find it as sad as it is entertaining. From ABC USA ... http://abcnews.go.com/Primetime/story?id=1231684&page=1

    Poles of Death

How often do you hear of someone being killed by crashing into a power pole? Seriously, it doesn't seem like the smartest thing to have rock solid poles just metres from the edge of the road. So many people are killed or maimed by hitting power poles but the finger is usually pointed...

    V8 Supercars Thread

Let's kick things off with discussion about the recent incident between Marcus Ambrose and Greg Murphy at the Super Cheap Auto 1000. Who was in the wrong? My take: it is a dangerous part of the circuit, Ambrose made a passing move and Murphy didn't give him racing room. Trying to be as...

Lear - referring to Gloucester subplot

Hey I need a hand with something, Do we need to refer to the plot of Lear and his daughters as well as the paralleled subplot of Gloucester and his sons? Or should just one be adequate? I'm trying to trim down my generic essay; it would help a lot to be able to take out my discussions on the...

    Random Car Chat

Just picking up from discussion that started in other thread. No I do agree to an extent - the WRX dash shits all over the TE50. Ever seen an AUIII Falcon dash? Probably one of the most incoherent, ugliest dashes around. It worked, at least. In the pic below, it's hard to see it but you get...

    The Bugatti Veyron (EB 16.4)

I made the call that this car is the most impressive car ever built. A big call sure, but I challenge anybody here to show me a road car more impressive - and that is fully engineered and from an original manufacturer. No Hamann Porsches, or Brabus Mercs, or whatever. The amount of gremlins...

    Corolla Oz's Top Seller

I just don't see the attraction with this car, Toyota must be giving them away. While I don't have the exact figures, GoAuto E-news has printed that Toyota "almost sold 5000" Corollas while 4800 Commodores sold and 3900 Falcons. It's a sad day for the Australian auto industry.
