Washed Out are pretty good, though a bit offtrack from what I'm looking for. Chromatics are great, again, slightly different to my search but great regardless. Delorean I haven't gotten to yet.

Still looking for more. The more suggestions the better. :)

Want something new to listen to, but don't know what.

Gimme a youtube link to your favourite song or something.

synthpo hmm. first maybe get silicon teens - music for parties + tom tom club - s/t

dunno if you'll be into it but you could check out some italo disco-ish stuff. sally shapiro - disco romance is great.

broadcast - tender buttons has a kind of forlorn sound but is very synth-driven. kinda like ladytron...

i really don't have much of this kinda music outside what you've mentioned!

love this album, hate the rest of their stuff
I've been meaning to get into CocoRosie for a while now. Is it worth listening to it all, or just getting the one album?

phoenix are a better version of 2 door cinema club imo. good pop songs with no boring kooks vibe

i love coco rosie! despite their other albums being slagged off earlier, i do enjoy them probably moreso than le maison. go in order, once you have started with le maison, move to noah's ark and then adventures of ghosthorse and stillborn, i think knowing the progression probably helps.

notable tracks from the last two if you can't be bothered:
beautiful boyz (ft. antony)
tekno love song
noah's ark
k-hole
armageddon
miracle (ft. antony)
rainbowarriors
werewolf
animals

anything else, perhaps? i've got a few phoenix songs, also
i dont really like any of the others except for arcade fire so my suggestions probably won't be all that helpful but anyway.

first things first, check out the dark was the night compilation if you don't have it already. full of fantastic collaborations and songs from bands like arcade fire, grizzly bear, broken social scene etcetc

the kills are the only band that i can think of obvious similarities - check out:
- band of skulls
- dead weather
- von bondies
- the raveonettes
- the horrors
maybe even some howling bells

other bands to listen to anyway

- the national
- the big pink
- discovery
- florence and the machine

that's all i can think of right now

TNP are amazing, TNP and Stars both have a new album out soon and all the albums tracks released so far have been great.

Ageless Beauty is probably my favourite Stars song.

Not really related to anything but thought I'd post up the album I've been listening to the most as of late...

Swedish Black Metal group called Svarti Loghin. One of the few black metal albums that I could safely say could be enjoyed by someone who hates black metal and possibly metal at all. Some parts sound like The Beatles, some parts sound like Pearl Jam, some parts sound like Pink Floyd.

Even if metal really isn't your thing, try this out, you might be surprised.
