i never did general topic sentences but then my teacher kept telling us to do them cuz ur encoporating the rubric as the base of ur paragraph idk if that makes sensewait my teachers said not to do general for topic sentences...
in my opinion you shouldnt be too concerened about knowing ur thesis now because the question will dictate how you develop it. You should just know your argument, for example if your paragraph is on the divine right vs societal order or whatever, you just have to know how power is represented differently across social contexts right, the rest comes from the question. I hope that helpsok wait so my essay for mod a is lfr and riii and my first para is about power. do i just say something about how "textual conversations allow for the evolving representation of power to be explored, whilst conveying universal values..." maybe she meant dont be general like broad? your thesis should directly answer the question but conceptuallywait my teachers said not to do general for topic sentences...

My teacher has indoctrinated us into analysing stuff through a feminist lense all through year 11 so I hope I don’t have to analyse it through that lense ever again lolit's okay the role of women is the role you bring as the audience, a woman - feminist literary lens yada yada (/j please do not take this seriously)
